march snow with gigi
Gigi came for a visit the weekend of March 24th, and we got some more snow! This time I was feeling much better without that awful sinus infection, so we all got to play in the snow together.
As i'm posting this now, it's 80 degrees out, and and this baby is keeping me warm, so it's fun to look back at the snow now. Later this week we're supposed to get a little more snow with lows back at 30.

india
One of the school time activities that evalana likes most is doing science/history/geography stuff on the computer. Although i try not to over-use electronic learning, i think it's so neat that our kids get to learn so differently than we did. the internet is such a great resource for being able to tour, see, and hear about what we're learning. In March we took a "trip" to India. One of the days we had delicious curried lentils for lunch. And Evalana was so excited to donate her money to send ten Indian children to a Children's Bible Club. One of the reasons we chose Sonlight for our curriculum is their emphasis on the whole world, rather than just staying in our own community.
taxes
I'm so thankful for all the ways Joshua helps out with things. One of his projects is doing our taxes each year. I was pretty impressed with our tax return this year. He tries to get our taxes as close to $0 as possible, and this year we got a $60 return. I think that's pretty good! So now you can be impressed with his tax skills too :-)

passover
We got to celebrate Passover for the second time on March 28th. It is amazing to me, the way celebration that started during Moses's life, point to Jesus in so many ways. We also thought we'd celebrate the Feast of Unleavened Bread from Thursday evening until Sunday morning, but i forgot and served buns for one meal, Lazarus got very upset over not having bread for his cheese sandwich so I gave up on making the two-year-old not eat leaven, so evalana decided she didn't want to participate either, and i think maybe joshua just forgot at every meal. We are really enjoying adding these biblical holidays for our family though.

And I've been spending my Wednesday evenings with this cutie who really really can't wait to be 3 1/2 so that he can go to Awana too.
big sister
I'm so thankful these kids are so excited for this baby. They love to pray for the baby, feel the baby moving, talk to the baby, and kiss my belly. We were also able to enjoy a beautiful spring day outside yesterday.
playroom after church
After church Grandma Mo and Grandpa Greg usually play with the kids in the playroom until I finish teaching.

library
Since Evalana turned two, we've gone to the library at least once a week. I'm so glad these kids like reading so much. Here's a picture from our last trip home from the library.

new house in joplin
Sunday we got to go visit Meema and Grandpa Darrel's new house in Joplin. It's a beautiful place they moved into last Monday. The weather yesterday was great; we got to play outside pretty much all day. Aunt Kristen, Shelby, Uncle John, Bailey, Chloe, and Great Grandma Kidd were also all there. And we all decided we love the new house.
And, now, as I'm posting this, it's snowing outside. I'm hoping after this spring weather will stay in kansas city.
