cheese, crackers, swimming, and friends

Evalana: "Was Dr. Mara at California when we had cheese and crackers for Aunt Jennifer's wedding? That was fun. I love their swimming pool. We should invite Dr. Mara there again. And Aunt Bridgett. Was Miss Julie there?"
Me: "No. Aunt Jennifer doesn't know Miss Julie" (the photographer who took Lazarus's infant pictures).
E: "Well if Miss Julie would put on a Gymboree nametag, then Aunt Jennifer would know who she is. That would be fun to have crackers and cheese and go swimming."

Last night's dinner prayer from Evalana: "Heavenly Father, thank you for your love and grace and mercy. And thank you for this dinner. Amen."
Evalana's dinner prayer tonight: "I'm a pirate! I'm a pirate girl!" Then "What's a pirate?"

Lazarus is working on grabbing everything, and he loves playing with his rattle. Although he still doesn't have any teeth, he's really chewing on everything. He loves to play with his sister; she does a great job of making him smile and laugh.
