big kid bed

about a month ago we switched evalana's twin-sized bed out for the queen bed that was in Grandmas' room. Now we just need to get lazarus to stop nursing during the night so that he can join her in there. for now, when evalana wakes up in the mornings, if lazarus isn't up yet, she goes straight from her room into my bed. most of the time i'm already up, and i usually don't even realize she's switched beds until later.

Evalana's figured it out. This morning she said, "Mom, if our popsicles are just made of yogurt and fruit, then aren't they healthy enough to have for breakfast?"

gigi's lake

Gigi's house is on Beaver Lake, and she just got a new boat a few months ago, so we got to enjoy it while we were there on Saturday, June 30th. It was so fun to see the lake and have some time with Gigi on her boat. The only other time Evalana and i have been on the lake was one time Papa took us out after the boat was finally working, and then the boat ran out of gas.

we tried to leave the dogs behind, but the two black dogs (tiny and scar; i can't tell them apart)  swam after us, so we went back for them

i'm trying to figure out how to make a good slideshow with all these pictures. lots of good stuff from shelby's first day. it was so exciting to see this beautiful baby who God created and has been growing for the past nine months.

The day before shelby was born, we left early in the morning for joplin, and we spent the day with meema and bailey while daddy spent the day working. Then we went to Arkansas, and we got to visit Aunt Kristen and Brent's house and then to dinner at Monte Ne.
