first tooth

Johnson County Museum

We visited the Johnson County Museum this week. We started with Pop & Play, which cost $1/child, and I'd only recommend it for a child who is crawling, doesn't put things in his mouth, and likes crowds. Then we went to the free part of the museum and loved that! We're planning to go back soon when it's not as crowded from an event.

science city

I've been trying to get in some activities that will cost more once Evalana turns three, so last Friday we went to Science City. Evalana had a great time!

not enough hands

As I was busy trying to get both kids ready for bed before anyone exploded (or whatever happens when you're too late for bedtime), without my saying anything about it, Evalana said, "Mommy, if God gave me an extra arm, I'd give it to you."
And tonight is Joshua's last night of his summer class. Just one more year.

hopeful prayer

Joshua started praying for our dinner this evening, and Evalana interrupted, "No, start over." So she said the prayer. In the middle of it she threw in, "Thank you that we get to take the puppies on a walk this evening." And after dinner Daddy did suggest that they take the dogs for a short walk (one of evalana's favorite activities that we haven't been able to do recently because of the heat). So pray with faith and hope.
