Grandma Nancy bought these outfits for Lazarus and Evalana. God provided these cute kids.

ants

Every summer i complain about the ants in our kitchen. But evalana convinced me to get an ant farm. She said Daddy needed an ant hill to remind him about Jesus for his Easter gift. She decorated the box the farm came in, and she did a great job of keeping the gift a surprise for Daddy. She'd ask him to ask what was in the box, and then she'd say, "I can't tell you. You have to wait until Easter." The ants arrived in the mail on Friday, and a tube of 30 ants kind of creeped me out, so we gave him his gift early.

pass the basket

Evalana comes up to me and says, "We're pretending we're churches, and soon we'll be passing the baskets around to remind us of Jesus." I asked what we put in the baskets. "Play dough and things like that."

sitting

Look what I'm doing today.

4 months

Lazarus is now four months old, and thankfully everything looked great at his checkup today. He's now longer and weighs less than Evalana did at this age. Lazarus is 15 lbs, 5 oz, and 26 in. He loves rolling around and grabbing and playing with toys. He still doesn't have any teeth, but he chews and chews on things. He generally sleeps 9pm-7am, although there are a couple of milk snacks in there. Then during the day he stays awake for two hours at a time and takes a fairly long nap in the afternoon. He loves watching his sister. His percentages, based on the doctor's chart, not on a breastfed chart, are height 26 in., 88%; weight 15 lbs 5 oz, 60%; head 16.7 in., 50%. He's wearing 9-month sized clothes.

snowman for lazarus

Back in November we went to a consignment sale at Angel Babies and were able to get several grocery sacks stuffed with little boy clothes for just a five dollars. And evalana picked out this toy for lazarus.

first bike

Evalana has been asking for a bike for months, and, on Friday, Grandpa Greg sent one to our house. Evalana was soooo excited.

Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Chris's Wedding

In March we got to go to Palm Springs for Aunt Jennifer's wedding.
I think I already posted all our swimming videos, but here are some of the rest of our pictures from our week with family.

I think you can get to Jennifer's photos at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/fbx/?set=a.10100269612715852.2729107.10103612 and Bridgett's at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/fbx/?set=a.612713201292.2131461.62102434.

Plane trip there. Kids did great. Parents had about one hour of sleep before our early flight.

Ready for the rehearsal dinner!

Cutie pie decided he likes the warm weather (his first experience with nice weather!), but he did not care for all the party action.

After leaving our home about 20 hours ago, the kids were happy for a little quiet time before bed...and then the wedding the next day!

Oh yeah, 7am in Kansas is 5am in California, so we started Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Chris's wedding day with a sunrise walk

And then we didn't get any other pictures with our camera, so here are some of Bridgett's:

And here are some of Jennifer's:

Oh, I just realized i do have a few more pictures of our week in Palm Springs after the wedding.
