it's a girl!

Yea! It's a girl!
And all the other stuff we got to see in the sonogram all looked great, too!

Boy or girl?

This is the last week to make your guess (we hope). Friday afternoon we get to have our ultrasound appointment. The plan is to have the sonographer put the answer into an envelope, and we'll open it that evening with our family. I'm looking forward to it! Then we can start thinking about names, too. Everyone's asking us if we're wanting a boy or girl or which we think we're having. The answer is that we don't have any preference at all and that i'm still amazed that there's a baby in there, so no thoughts much beyond that. Because i'm the oldest sibling in my family, i keep thinking that the first child must need to be a girl, but it'd also be really great to have our first baby be a boy. If we have a girl, though, i think she might be able to get away with too much with her daddy. we're excited to find out which it will be soon! Oh, and we also get a full checkup on the baby this Friday (the real reason they're doing the sonogram) since they can see all the organs and everything now. We'll update this site Friday evening with the answer, so be sure to check back!

Heard the heartbeat

Today we had our 14-week appointment, and we got to hear the heartbeat, which was fun. The doctor said everything looks great, and we can come back in three weeks for our ultrasound. So we made our appointment for 3:15 on Friday, February 22nd to take another peek at our baby and hopefully find out if we're having a boy or girl. I'm so excited!!
